ERCS new Board make working visit to the Society project and program activities

Ato Abera Tola, newly elected Ethiopian Red Cross Society President and Dr. Abeba Beyene, also newly elected Treasurer of the Governing Board, made their maiden working visit to the various working units and facilities of the National Society at the Head Quarters, the Filwoha multipurpose building construction site, the Piassa historic HQ office, now income generation building, as well as the Nifas Silk Center of Capacity Development for Humanitarian Services(CCDHS).

 

During his visit, the President and the Treasurer were escorted by W/o Frehiwot Worku, Secretary General of the Society, Ato Abera Lulessa, Deputy Secretary General for Support.

 

The visit has helped Ato Abera and Dr. Abeba to acquaint themselves and exchange views and delve future directions with the various department and section heads and staffs.

 

Concluding his visit at the CCDHS, the President met and exchanged ideas with the Heads of the various Zonal Branches from all over the country, who were fortunately on a three day workshop on volunteerism. He stated that humanitarianism is one in our heart and we are lucky doing it. We want this noble deed knock each and every house so that we all be on board and no one should be left aside.
